MRS. NELLIE BANKER BURIED HERE TODAY

Former Winterset Woman Died Suddenly Monday at Waterloo

Mrs. Nellie Banker, formerly a well-known Winterset newspaper woman, died at her home in Waterloo Monday. She was 43 years of age.

Mrs. Banker's death was attributed to heart failure. He had been in ill health and had been under treatment since last June.

Mrs. Banker was the former Nellie Dunn, and was born in Des Moines on May 27, 1894, the daughter of S. G. and Samantha Dunn. In 1898, the family moved to Madison county, settling in Monroe township where she was reared. The family later moved to Winterset.

Mrs. Banker was for many years employed in Winterset as an advertising solicitor, working at different times for both Winterset papers.

She was a graduate of the Winterset high school, and attended the C.C.C. college in Des Moines. Following her marriage, in 1929, to Orie Banker, they moved to Greenfield, in 1931, later to Creston, and then to Waterloo.

Immediate relatives surviving are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Dunn of Winterset, and her brothers, Robert C. of Winterset, and Leo Dunn of Des Moines.

Funeral services were to be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) from Tidrick's funeral home, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
