HORACE MOORMAN DIES

Horace DeLacy Moorman, 85-year-old retired farmer and real estate dealer, died suddenly at his home in Reeds, Jasper county, Mo., Thursday morning, Dec. 15, at nine o'clock. The body was brought to the Ulmer funeral home. Mr. Moorman suffered a heart attack, while seated by a stove at his home. He fell against the stove, and suffered burns to his face and head. Death came before a physician could arrive.

He was born March 19, 1853 in Green county, Ohio and was married at Independence, Kan., Nov. 23, 1912, to Mrs. Eva A. Lorimor, who survives him. They came to this county, April 1, 1923, and had lived here since. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Winterset.

Surviving besides his wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Mae King of Sunset Beach, Cal., two sons, Loy D. Moorman of Oskaloosa, Ia., and Tom C. Moorman of Minong, Wis., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Interment was made in the Reed cemetery, Sunday, Dec. 18th, at ten o'clock, the Rev. Floyd Cochran officiating.
