Oliver Gerald Young, a brother of Joe Young of Winterset, died at the Veteran's hospital in Des Moines, Sunday. He was 62 years of age.
Mr. Young was born December 12, 1873 in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the son of Thomas and Mary Young. He was married to Hannah McKnight on April 2, 1896. They were the parents of one son, Lloyd K. Young.
He is survived by his widow and son; two grandsons, Lloyd Junior and Donald Kay; and two brothers, Joe Young of Winterset and John Young of Des Moines.
Funeral services were conducted Monday from the Church of Christ in Winterset in charge of the Rev. H. L. Olmstead. Interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.
