Death of James Boyd

James Boyd, who for the past several years, had been a resident of the Madison county farm, died Tuesday. He was 69 years of age.

Little is known of him, as local authorities could give no past history and he had no known relatives.

His funeral services were held from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, Wednesday in charge of the Rev. M. R. Talley of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Coordinator's note: He is not in any Madison County census including the 1930 census of the Poor Farm. The Winterset Cemetery Record gives his age as 60. An Iowa Death Certificate could not be found. In an era of identification not easily verified, "James Boyd" may or may not be his real name.
