FORMER RESIDENT DIES FROM BURNS

Earlham, Ia. May 3-(Special)-Mrs. Roy Sutherland of Menlo died from burns received in a gasoline stove explosion, Monday morning in a Des Moines hospital. The stove exploded in the Sutherland home, Sunday morning and she was rushed to the hospital for treatment. She died early the next morning.

The Sutherland family formerly resided in Earlham, while he was the manager of the Sloan Lumber company, but they have lived in Menlo the past two years. Mr. Sutherland received some burns on his hands and arms, but they are not thought to be serious. Mrs. Sutherland is survived by her husband and their three sons, Mack, Keith and Dean.
