Wednesday, June 22, 1938John F. Durham, son of Alexander and Nancy Durham, was born in Healy, Kansas, December 10, 1890, and passed away in Macksburg, Ia., June 9, 1938, at the age of 47 years, 5 months and 29 days.
On July 14, 1924, he was united in marriage to Allie Guthrie in Olympia, Washington.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, his mother, Nancy Durham, two sisters, Cazzie Milton of Seattle, Washington, Hettie Milton of Portland, Oregon, and one brother Wilbur Durham of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Macksburg, June 13, conducted by the Rev. M. D. Summerbell. Interment was made in the Moon cemetery.

Mrs. Gail Kirkland went to Macksburg Monday to attend the funeral services of Jack Durham of Chicago, Illinois, who died at the home of F. A. Bonham in Macksburg. Mr. and Mrs. Durham came to Macksburg to make a visit at the Bonham home and shortly after arriving Mr. Durham suffered a heart attack which proved fatal.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
