Mrs. Fields W. Cochran, life-long resident of Macksburg and Grand River township, died at her home Friday, Oct. 28th, at the age of 55 years. Mrs. Cochran, who was the former Bessie M. Logsdon, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Grandfield. She was born at their home near Macksburg, January 1, 1883.

On September 9, 1906, she was married to Fields W. Cochran and they became the parents of three children: Mrs. Mildred Jacobe of Des Moines, Vaun W. Cochran of West Chester, and Mrs. Neva Dell Waggoner of Webster City. Her entire life was spent in and around her home community. She was a member of the West Branch Methodist church and of the Hawthrone Rebekah lodge, No. 350.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by her husband, and their three children.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Oct. 30th, at the Methodist church in Macksburg, by the Rev. M. D. Summerbell, and interment was made in the Moon cemetery.
