Death of Mrs. S. W. Vannatta

Mrs. Samuel W. Vannatta, the former Clara May Caldwell of Winterset, died last Friday at Perry where she had lived for the past 11 years. She was 32 years of age.

Mrs. Vannatta was born September 9, 1901 at Atlantic, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Caldwell, now of this community. She came with her parents to a farm near Winterset in 1914, receiving most of her schooling in this community. She united with the Christian church in 1914.

On September 14, 1926, she was married to S. W. Vannatta of Perry where they made their home. They were the parents of four children; George, Ben, Paul and Opal, all of whom survive their mother.

In addition to her husband and the children, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Caldwell of Winterset, two brothers, Woodrow Caldwell of Winterset and Clark Caldwell of Iowa City; and her grandmother, Mrs. Clara Caldwell of Madrid.
