Word was received here this week that Clyde Morrison, former Winterset druggist, and the father of John Wayne of motion picture fame died recently in California. Morrison and his family lived here for about six years, prior to 1911, and he was employed in the M. E. Smith drug store on the South side of the square. For a short time he owned a drug store in Earlham before moving to California.
