Thursday, September 16, 1936Mrs. Vivian Watson Dies
Mrs. Vivian Watson, member of a pioneer Union township family, died at her home in Stanberry, Missouri, on July 8. She was 51 years old.
Mrs. Watson was the former Vivian Theresa Guye, the daughter of Albert D. and Maria L. Guye and was born near Winterset on March 21, 1885. Her home was in Madison county until her marriage on March 1, 1905 to Amos G. Watson. They moved to Stanberry where they resided until Mr. Watson's death about 12 years ago. Since then Mrs. Watson had divided her time between Winterset and Stanberry.
Mrs. Watson united with the First Christian church of Stanberry about 28 years ago. She remained a member through the years.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Thompson and a brother, Elbridge Guye, both of Winterset.
Funeral services were conducted last Friday from the First Christian church of Stanberry in charge of the pastor, the Rev. N. O. Rogers, assisted by the Rev. B. V. Bolton, pastor of the Baptist church.
