STEPHEN THOMAS DIES

Stephen Thomas, 74, of Macksburg, died Dec. 2nd at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emmett Livingston in Cedar Falls.

He was born Feb. 14, 1868 at Macksburg, where he lived his entire life. He went to Cedar Falls several weeks ago to spend the winter at the home of his daughter. His wife, who survives him, accompanied him.

On March 20, 1892 he was married to Miss Jennie Jessup. The couple resided at Macksburg. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge and the Modern Woodmen of America and R.N. of A.

Surviving, beside his widow are one son, Wayne of Des Moines; one daughter, Ruby at whose home he died; a granddaughter, Ruby Lois Ferris of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, James of Macksburg and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Macksburg at 2 p.m. Saturday from the home. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
