PHYLLIS MCDANIEL KILLED IN DENVER, COLORADO

Cumming (Special)-Floyd Hall of Cumming received word last Sunday of the death of his niece, Phyllis McDaniel in Denver, Colo. She was struck by a train while crossing the railroad tracks near the cabin camp in which they had been living since only the previous Sunday, upon which date she, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McDanial arrived there from Martensdale.

Mr. McDaniel was employed in a chemical factory and Phyllis had started out to meet him on his way home from work when the tragic accident occurred. She was twelve years old on April 1st of this year.

Her body will be brought home by train for burial in the Elm Grove cemetery, after funeral services in Martensdale, probably not until Friday May 1st. An inquest is to be held in Denver due to the nature of the accident and because of the delay that involves, it has not been possible to complete funeral arrangements at this time. (d. 4-26-1942; burial in Sayre cemetery)
