MARY BELLE BIGGS DIED HERE TUESDAY

Elderly Woman Had Lived in Madison County Past Three Years

Mary Belle Biggs, a resident of near Winterset for the past three years, died Tuesday evening at the age of 71 years.

Miss Biggs was a native of Virginia, where she was born in Warren county on Dec. 25, 1870. She was the daughter of Joseph and Isabel Biggs. In 1884 she came with her parents to Toulon, Ill. where she spent most of her life. In later years she moved to Bowling Green, Mo., before coming to Madison county in October of 1939.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Vulgamott of Winterset; and four half-sisters, Mrs. John Graves of Winterset, Mrs. W. M. Ritsch of Pontiac, Ill., Myrtle Biggs of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Will Hamilton of Peoria, Ill.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
