Funeral Services Conducted Monday by the Rev. J.R. McNichols
Wilson Edmon Chase, a resident of Madison county all his life, with the exception of a short stay in Kansas and Nebraska, died at his home near the Adair county line last Friday. He was 71 years of age.
Mr. Chase was born in Douglas township on May 14, 1867. He was married to Anna Rachel Applegate on Oct. 13, 1892.
More than 30 years ago he united with the West Star Methodist church and was a member of the Webster Methodist church, at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Hazel Chase; a son, Verl Chase; all of Madison county; and a brother, Hiram Chase, of Mason City. He also leaves five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the home and from the West Star Methodist church Monday, conducted by the Rev. J. R. McNichols of the Winterset Methodist church, a life-long friend. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery.
