CHARLES WINSHIP DIES

Charles Winship, former Madison county resident, died at the St. John's hospital, following an operation in Anderson, Indiana, last Wednesday, November 24th. Mr. Winship who was seventy years of age had lived in this country for 55 years, but for the past fifteen years, has resided in Anderson.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rosetta Winship, two daughters, Miss Hazel Winship at home and Mrs. Otis Pendergras of Anderson. He also leaves an aunt, Mrs. Laura Sayre of St. Charles and four nephews and a niece of Lorimor.

Funeral services for the deceased were held Friday morning at the home, at 10 o'clock with the Rev. J. S. Dinbo, pastor of the Methodist church in charge. Burial was in an Alexandria cemetery.

Mr. Winship taught school for a number of years in this county and later lived on a farm near St. Charles.
