Death of Fred Couch

Fred Couch, former Winterset resident, died at his home in Des Moines, Friday, May 15, after an illness of several months. He was 51 years of age.

Mr. Couch grew to manhood in Winterset and was married to Miss Lois Wright of Adel. He operated a dry goods store in Adel for a number of years. For the last twelve years, he has been employed at Younker Bros. store and at the time of his death was assistant manager of their basement store.

He leaves his wife, a son and a grandson and one brother. His funeral services were held at Dunn's funeral home, Sunday afternoon and burial was in the Adel cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mardis and Mrs. Myles Young Jr. drove down for the services.
