Funeral For Lifetime Resident of Worthington Community Held Saturday
Charles T. Seerley, 75, lifetime resident of the Worthington neighborhood, died Thursday morning, December 31 at the Seerley farm home. Mr. Seerley had not fully regained consciousness after being struck on the head by a falling tree the preceding Tuesday
He lived with two brothers and three sisters on the farm where their father William Seerley, one of Madison county's pioneers, settled years ago. Three brothers, Vic and Frank, at home and Bayard of Adair county; and three sisters, Grace, Ida and Flora at home survive. Two brothers died several years ago.
Funeral services in charge of Rev. W. P. Fink of the Winterset Presbyterian church were held at the Worthington church Saturday afternoon. Interment was in the Worthington cemetery.
