Thursday, March 5, 1936Death of Mrs. H. D. Smith
Mrs. H. D. Smith passed away at her home at Hillsdale, Wyoming on the 24th of February, aged 84 years. Funeral services and interment were at Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Mrs. Smith will be remembered by various Madison county people. They formerly lived on the Bluffs road on the farm now owned by E. W. Meyer. Mr. Smith was county superintendent of schools here from 1900 to 1904 and soon after moved to Wyoming.
Surviving members of the family are the husband and one son, Arthur of Iowa City, and one daughter, Fannie, now Mrs. Lloyd Evans of Omaha.
