Darlene Mae Lohner, 78, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset.
A visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 5 at Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare in Winterset. Cremation will follow the visitation with burial to take place at a later date. There will be no funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
Darlene was born October 29, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska. Her marriage to John Lohner took place on October 11, 1965.
Darlene was a caregiver. She collected elephants and loved to dance. She was a loving wife of 41 years and great mother to her children. She dearly loved her kids and grandkids and sincerely enjoyed helping and caring for others.
Darlene is survived by her husband, John of Winterset; a daughter, Bonnie Risius of Des Moines; three sons, Tony Lohner and wife, Jennifer of Norwalk, Trey Lohner and wife, Kimberly of Las Vegas, NV, and Phillip Lohner and wife, Karen of West Plains, MO; and eight grandchildren, Madison and Paige Lohner, Rich Morris and Travis Risius, Phillip and Jason Lohner, and Zachery and Garret Lohner.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
