Mrs. Dora Sumner Had Moved From This County in 1918
Mrs. Dora Sumner, whose early life was spent in Madison county, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Kennard, Nebr., it was learned here this week. She was 88 years of age.
Mrs. Sumner was a sister of Leonard Moore of Winterset. She was born at Winterset, Nov. 21, 1862. Her marriage to Arthur J. Sumner was solemnized at Winterset on March 8, 1893. They were the parents of three children, one son, Howard, dying in 1928. Her husband died in 1925.
Mrs. Sumner lived near Winterset until 1916. In 1918 she and her husband moved to a farm near Blair, Nebr. In 1927, after the death of her husband, she moved to Kennard, which since had been her home.
Funeral services were held Oct. 12 from the Grace Methodist church at Kennard, and burial was made in the Blair cemetery.
