Dortha F. Bowlin, 79, died April 4, 2007 at the Kavanagh House on 56th. Dortha lived in Des Moines since the 1950’s. She was born May 3, 1927 to parents, Boyd Bryan Reither and Mary Emma Reither.

She is survived by her sister, Darina Florence Woolery, Truro, IA; sons, Donald Bowlin (Jane) Des Moines, IA, Dennis Bowlin (Judith) Carlisle, IA, Darrell Bowlin, Carlisle, IA; six grandchildren, Debra Stonehocker, Rockwell City, IA, Michelle Wicker, Altoona, IA, Julie Givens, Carlisle, IA, Daniel Bowlin, Runnells, IA, Brian Bowlin, Carlisle, IA, Janice Clark, Carlisle, IA; 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marjorie Marie Reither.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Evergreen Chapel of Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints, 2101 Evergreen, Des Moines. Burial at the New Virginia Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Evergreen Chapel.
