Des MoinesAmy Harris, 93, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Valley View Village Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Amy was born December 8, 1913 in Madison County to Edgar and Millie Harris. She lived in the Des Moines area most of her adult life. Amy was a clerical worker for American Republic Insurance. She enjoyed dancing and was a big fan of the Val Air Ballroom.
Amy is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two sisters and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
