DOROTHY SHEARER DIES

Dorothy Carol, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shearer of Excelsior Springs, Mo., died last Friday of bronchial pneumonia. The little girl who would have been three years of age April 24th, had been an invalid since she was seven months of age.

Brief funeral services were held at Excelsior Springs Saturday, and prayer services were held at the Huffman funeral home in Scranton Sunday afternoon and burial was made there. The child is survived by her parents, two sisters, Jacqueline and Constance and a brother, Jimmie.

The Shearers formerly resided in Winterset, and he was a linotype operator at the Winterset Madisonian. They have been in Excelsior Springs for the past seven years and are moving this week to Fort Madison. Mr. and Mrs. Embree Jackson accompanied her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Shearer to Scranton Sunday. The Shearers were in Winterset Monday for a short visit with friends.
