HARRY ORR KILLED WHEN HIT BY AUTO

Run Down While Crossing Street at Kansas City

Harry Orr, 56 years old, widely known Madison county farmer was instantly killed last Friday night in Kansas City, Mo., when he was struck by an automobile while crossing a street there.

The driver of the car was Lawrence Brentz, 22-years-old of Kansas City. He told police that Orr stepped into the path of his car too suddenly for him to stop. He said the victim had started across the street toward a filling station. Brentz was being held by police pending an investigation.

Orr, who has been operating the Caleb Robbins farm in the Holliwell neighborhood, was widely known here, largely through his activities in the promotion of rodeos. It was a rodeo in Kansas City that had taken him there, together with his son, Claude Orr.
