MRS. LOUIE RUSSELL DIED HERE SATURDAY

Resident of Madison County Since 1917 Was 83 Years of Age

Mrs. Louie E. Russell, a resident of Madison county since 1917, died Saturday, Dec. 27, at her home in Winterset. She was 83 years of age.

Mrs. Russell was born in Lucas county on Sept. 15, 1875, a daughter of Edward and Minerva Hill Hickock. She was married Jan. 22, 1903, to Pearl E. Cooper, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 23, 1909, she was married to Frank L. Russell. His death occurred in 1952.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Agan of Winterset; a grandson, Everett Agan of Peru; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alice Cooper of Lamberton, Minn.; and a half brother, Walter Lackey of Woodward.

Funeral services were to be held this Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Winterset Methodist church conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
