Winterset, IowaROAN YOUTH DIES OF BRAIN TUMOR
Tommie Joe Roan, 9-year-old son of Harold and Donna Gordon Roan, died July 3 at Oak Knoll hospital in California. Death was attributed to a brain tumor.
The youth had just completed the 3rd grade of school. He had spent most of his life in Iowa and Missouri, moving with his parents to Alameda, California two years ago.
He is survived by his parents, a sister, Arvada Kay; a grandmother, Marie Roan; great grandmother, Belle Hayden of Truro and great grandmother and grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Boziek of Kansas City. Mrs. Roan is a former Madison county resident.
Funeral services were held July 8 at Afton, Iowa, with burial at Cromwell, Ia.
