Native of Clarke County, She Had Lived at Peru for Many Years
Mrs. Caroline Weaver, a well-known resident of Peru, died at her home there last Wednesday after several years of failing health. She was 59 years of age.
Mrs. Weaver was the former Caroline Fredrecka Scholl, and was born near Murray on October 11, 1877. She was the eldest daughter of Anton and Fredrecha Scholl, who were among the oldest and most respected citizens of Clarke county.
As a young woman she united with the Union church in Clarke county, attending there until her marriage to James F. Weaver on October 31, 1896. They moved to Peru, where she united with the Methodist church, attending as long as her health would permit.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Mrs. Jennie Hull of Peru and Daisy and James Weaver at home. She also leaves a grandson, Laverne Hull; three sisters, Mrs. J. T. Bingham, Mrs. Will Camp, both of Murray and Mrs. Ed Beasley of Weldon; and three brothers, John W. Scholl, Nickolas, C. Scholl and Arthur F. Scholl, all of Murray.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Peru on Friday, in charge of the Rev. E. L. Patterson of St. Charles, former pastor at Peru. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.

Caroline Fredrecka Scholl was born near Murray in Clarke county, Iowa, October 11th, 1877. She passed away at her home in Peru, Iowa, December 30th, 1936 at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 19 days.
She was united and attended the Union church in Clarke county until her marriage and since then has attended the Methodist church of Peru, as long as her health would permit.
She was the eldest daughter of Anton and Fredrecka Scholl, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Clarke county.
She was united in marriage to James F. Weaver, Ocotber 31, 1896. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Jennie Hull of Peru, Daisy and James at home.
She leaves to mourn her loss besides her husband and children, one grandson, Laverne Hull; three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. J. T. Bingham of Murray, Iowa, Mrs. Will Comp of Murray, Iowa, Mrs. Ed Beasley of Weldon, the brothers John W. of Weldon, Nickolas C., and Arthur F. of Murray, also other relatives and friends.

Mrs. James Weaver died at her home, Wednesday evening following a long illness. The funeral was held in the M. E. church here, Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. E. Patterson of St. Charles. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
