Funeral Services Held on Sunday for Long-Time Resident
Mrs. Clara Bell Wilson, widow of the late E. Coates Wilson of Winterset, died here Friday, Jan. 23, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Paullin. She was 85 years of age.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Louisa County, Feb. 17, 1868, but lived practically all her life in Madison County. Her husband died in 1940 and three daughters and a son preceded her in death.
She is survived by five daughters, Mabel Paullin of Winterset, Myrtle Tompkins and Lulu Campbell of Bellflower, Calif., Marie Tenney of Rogue River, Ore., and Faye Horning of Dallas, Tex.; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Ed and Em Orris of Winterset; and a sister, Nelle Orris of Pasadena, Calif.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Pleasant View cemetery.
