Harry E. Sprinkle, a native of Winterset, died Thursday, Nov. 27, at Newton, where he had lived for half a century. He was 71 years of age. Death resulted from a nerve ailment. He had been a patient in the hospital for 16 months.
Mr. Sprinkle was born and spent his early years in Winterset. At Newton he was employed in the post office for many years, rising to the grade of assistant postmaster. He was active in community affairs there, serving as president of the Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis club; and two terms as president of the state Postal Supervisors organization.
