Funeral services for Perry H. Landers, 75, were held Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 9, from the Watts Funeral home in Lorimor.
Mr. Landers died Sunday, Sept. 7 in Osceola, Iowa.
The only son of Hiram and Nancy Landers, he was born in Madison county on Feb. 19, 1883. He grew to manhood in the vicinity of Patterson.
He was married to the former Edna Haynes on March 18, 1906 at St. Charles. They were the parents of seven children, six of whom survive. They are: Kenneth of Osceola, Ruth Davis of Lorimor, Doris Huntsman of Afton, Faye Wolfe of Shannon City, Jack of Winterset and Mary Dalton of Afton. A son, Howard, died in 1922 at the age of 13.
Mr. Landers is also survived by his wife, and 21 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Landers celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in March of this year. Their entire married life was spent in Madison and Union counties.
Officiating at the services Tuesday afternoon was the Rev. Wallace Kinsier of Thayer. Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery.

Page 5, Column 4Perry H., an only son of Hiram and Nancy Landers was born in Madison County, Iowa, February 19, 1883 and departed from this life Sunday, Sept. 7, 1958 in Osceola, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 19 days.
He grew to manhood in the vicinity of Patterson where he met Edna Haynes. They were married March 18, 1906 at St. Charles, Ia.
Seven children were born to this union. They are Kenneth Landers of Osceola, Iowa, Ruth Davis of Lorimor, Iowa, Doris Huntsman of Afton, Iowa, Faye Wolfe of Shannon City, Iowa, Jack Landers of Winterset, Iowa, Mary Dalton of Afton, Iowa and Howard who passed away Feb. 24, 1922 at the tender age of 13 years and 3 months.
He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 4 sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Landers celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last March. Their entire married life was spent in Madison and Union Counties.
Besides leaving his devoted wife and children, he leaves other relatives and a host of friends.
Services were held from the Watts Funeral Home in Lorimor, Tuesday, September 9.
Burial in Union cemetery.
