'JOHNNY' JOHNSON DIES AT LOS ANGELES

John Johnson, a native of Madison county, who moved to Los Angeles, California about 15 years ago, died at a hospital in that city, Wednesday, October 29th, after a lingering illness.

Mr. Johnson, a son of Barney and Katherine Ryan Johnson, was born in Bevington, and he was married in the county to Laura McCale, who survives him.

For many years they resided on a farm in Union township, and later moved to Winterset, where he was in the Conoco oil business.

In addition to his wife, he leaves four children, Ralph and Marie (Mrs. Ted Swain) of Whittier, California, Jack of New York, and Ruth, (Mrs. Ed Prescott) of Atlantic. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Mike Breen of Winterset, and three brothers, Will, and J. A. of Des Moines, and Thomas J. Johnson of Los Angeles. Two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral and burial services were held in Los Angeles Friday.
