O. S. HOWARD RITES HELD AT ST. CHARLES

Funeral services for Orville S. Howard of St. Charles, who died Saturday, Feb. 15 at Memorial hospital in Winterset, were held Feb. 18 from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Clifford J. Pine, the pastor. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mr. Howard was 58 years of age at his death. He was born at Hanley on Feb. 12, 1900, a son of Elmer and Jennie Howard. As a youth, he became a member of the Hanley Methodist church, later transferring to the congregation at St. Charles.

He was married March 15, 1923, to Alice Eno of Indianola. They were parents of a son, Robert Howard of St. Charles, and two daughters, Mrs. Betty Emerson of Lorimor and Mrs. Judith Frey of Des Moines.

In addition to his wife and children, he leaves six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Perry King and Orma Howard, both of St. Charles; and a brother, Esmond Howard of Winterset.
