LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. JOHN HORRAS

Funeral services for Mrs. John Horras, long-time resident of Madison county, were held last Friday afternoon, July 25, from Anderson's Home for Funerals in Winterset.

Mrs. Horras died July 22 at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines of cancer at the age of 71. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Duff, she was born February 16, 1887 in Audubon county, Iowa. She moved to this county as a child, and in 1907 was married to John Horras at Indianola, Iowa.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Glendale Horras of Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Alice Mathews of Des Moines; three brothers, Willie Duff of Norwalk, Walter Duff of St. Charles, and Charles Duff of Wilmington, Calif.

Officiating at the services last Friday was the Rev. Leslie Chapman, pastor of Plymouth Congregational church in Des Moines. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
