MRS. CORSBIE DIES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL

Funeral Services Were Held Wednesday in St. Charles Methodist Church

Mrs. Walter Corsbie, well-known farm woman living south of Winterset, died at the Winterset hospital about midnight Sunday after a serious illness of three weeks. She had been in failing health for several years. She was 37 years of age.

Mrs. Corsbie was the former Marie Webb. Her parents now live near Dexter. Among her near surviving relatives, in addition to her parents, are her husband and two sons, Vernie and Rex, both living at home.

Brief services were held Wednesday at the home of her brother-in-law, Ernest Allen of Winterset, before the body was taken to St. Charles for funeral services at the Methodist church there in charge of the pastor, the Rev. E. L. Patterson. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

MRS. CORSBIE DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Services for Mrs. Walker Corsbie, 37, who died Monday morning at 1:25 at the Winterset hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at one o’clock at the Ernest Allen home, followed by a regular service at the Methodist church in St. Charles conducted by the Rev. E. L. Patterson. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mrs. Corsbie, who lived south of Winterset, had been in ill health several years. She leaves her husband, two sons, Vernie and Rex, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Webb of Dexter; three brothers and two sisters, Ivan of Burlington; Floyd of Osceola and Lewis of Dexter; Mrs. Ethel Reed of Van Wert; and Mrs. Fred Young of Adel.

Della Marie Corsbie

Della Marie Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Webb, was born near Garden Grove October 31, 1899 and died at the Winterset hospital June 7, aged 37 years, 7 months and 7 days.

When 12 years old she moved with her parents to Van Wert where she spent her girlhood days and received her education. When about 14 she joined the Methodist church and in 1922 transferred her membership to the Methodist church in St. Charles.

She was married January 30, 1916, to Walker Corsbie at the Methodist parsonage in Van Wert by the Rev. O. W. Morrow. Two sons were born, Vernie and Rex.

In 1920 the family moved to Madison county where they have since resided. She leaves her husband, two sons, Vernie aged 17 and Rex aged 15, her parents of Dexter; three brothers, James of Burlington; Floyd of Osceola; and Lewis of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Reed of Van Wert; and Mrs. Grace Young of Adel. A brother, Raymond, is deceased.
