Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Hardy, who died last Friday in Des Moines, were last Friday in Des Moines, were held from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home Monday and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mrs. Hardy was the former Bess Maddern and was a native of England. She was born December 9, 1882 in County Cornwall. She was 54 years of age at the time of her death.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hardy leaves a daughter, Margaret Hardy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Maddern of England; two sisters, Mrs. William Sampson and Mrs. H. C. Rowe of England; and a brother, Gordon Maddern of Cleveland, Ohio.
