Death of J. F. Quick

Jasper F. Quick, son of Sarah and Peter Quick, was born at Horican, Wisc. June 30, 1871.

At the age of 4, with his parents and their family moved to Madison county where he resided until the time of his death.

On Nov. 30, 1893, he was united in marriage to Margaret McMichael who preceded him in death Oct. 30, 1924. To this union were born two children, Mrs. Ethel Clevenger of Des Moines, who passed away May 10, 1926 and Everett with whom he has made his home since the death of his wife.

He had been in failing health for the past few years and on August 31, he passed away at the age of 66 years and two months at the home of his son, Everett, near Patterson.

He is survived by his son, Everett; two sisters, Mrs. Susan LaFee of Linneus, Mo., and Mrs. Ella Kenyon of Willows, Cal., and two grandchildren, Newell Clevenger of Des Moines and Mrs. Mina Speer of Patterson. A brother, Mark Quick preceded him in death seven years ago.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Patterson on Sept. 2 and burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery. The Rev. E. L. Patterson was in charge of the services.
