MRS. EFFIE GIBSON DIED LAST FRIDAY

Death Occurs in Des Moines Hospital Following Surgery

Mrs. Effie A. Gibson, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died last Friday, Sept. 5, at a Des Moines hospital. She had been living in Des Moines the last 18 months.

Mrs. Gibson was 67 years of age. Her death followed surgery.

She was the former Effie Alice Moore, daughter of Jerry and Mary James Moore, and was born May 2, 1891, in Madison county.

She was married at Winterset in 1912, to Ralph Gibson. Their only child died in infancy.

She was a member of the Winterset Christian church.

Surviving are her husband; two brothers, Glen Moore of Winterset and Shell Moore of Waitsburg, Ore.; and one niece, Opal Call of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
