MRS. SADIE BALLARD OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Death Occurred Saturday at Nursing Home Here, at Age of 78 Years

Mrs. Sadie Ballard of St. Charles died last Saturday, March 1, at a Winterset nursing home, at the age of 78 years.

Mrs. Ballard was a resident of Madison county most of her life. She was born at Pleasantville on Feb. 12, 1880, a daughter of Henry and Jane Easley Leutzinger.

She was married Nov. 19, 1903, to Glen Ballard, who preceded her in death.

Nearest surviving relative is a daughter, Mrs. Opal Slaybaugh of Englewood, Calif.

Funeral services were held this Monday from the Macksburg Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. E. K. Parrott. Burial was made in Moon cemetery there.
