MRS. WARD GREENWOOD

Maud Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of George and Ida May Sackett was born in Adair county, Iowa on June 11, 1892, and departed this life at her home in Scott township, November 7th at three o'clock, at the age of 45 years, 4 months and 26 days.

On March 20, 1912, she was married to Ward Greenwood and to this union six children were born, Walter of Winterset, Mrs. Lela Martin of Grimes, Jeanette, Ruth, Ira George and Wanda at home, and one son, John, dying in infancy November 19, 1920.

Mrs. Greenwood has been a patient sufferer for five years. On Thursday, November 4th, she suffered a severe sinking spell and although rallying at times to give loving council to her family, she passed away on Sunday November 7th.

At the age of 12 years, Mrs. Greenwood united with the Methodist church at DeSoto, where she was an active worker until she moved from the community. Later she transferred her membership to the Patterson Methodist church.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her passing, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Sackett of Greenfield, a sister, Mrs. Helen McDermott of Bridgewater and one brother, Virgil Sackett of Eugene, Oregon.
