Kathryn Gehlhaar, daughter of Timon and Eva Young, was born at Garden Grove, Decatur county, Iowa on September 22, 1874. She died at her home in Patterson, Iowa, on April 8, 1937 at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 16 days.
She was married in 1894 to Max Gehlhaar. They moved to Madison county in November of 1901, where they had since made their home.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband; three brothers, Henry Young, Richard Young and George Young; and one sister, Anne Gehlhaar, all of Garden Grove and many relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at Patterson, Saturday, and burial was in Montpelier cemetery.
