Harold Stuart of New Virginia died at his home there Thursday, Dec. 22, at the age of 53 years.
Mr. Stuart was born at Peru on Dec. 22, 1907 a son of Elmer and Daisy Harrell Stuart. He moved with his parents to New Virginia when he was 10 years of age. His home had been there since, with the exception of three years at Pleasant Hill.
He was a graduate of the New Virginia high school with the class of 1927. He was married Aug. 30, 1935, to Lois Kimzey, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, he leaves eight children, Gerald and Lonnie of New Virginia and Paul, Mary, Martha, Claude, Betty and Terry, all at home. He also leaves two grandchildren; and his mother, who lives in Indianola.
Funeral services were held on December 24 from the New Virginia Methodist church. Burial was made in the New Virginia cemetery.
