Albert L. Benge Dies in California

Albert L. Benge, formerly a well known Winterset hardware merchant, died Monday, May 17, at Hollywood hospital in California, according to word received here by relatives.

Mr. Benge was born in Winterset, a son of John and Mahala Benge, and his early life was spent here. From 1916 to 1920 he was in the hardware business on the west side of the square here, but moved from Winterset to the west coast shortly there-after. For many years he had lived in Glendale.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Twist of Winterset, a son, Eldon Benge of Chicago and two sisters, Mrs. Nina Paisley of Montana and Mrs. Roy King of Los Angeles.
