LAWSON KEGLEY DIED SUNDAY

Christian Minister Conducts Funeral Services Here Tuesday

Lawson J. Kegley of Winterset died at Madison county Memorial hospital Sunday, April 19, after an extended illness. He was 77 years of age.

Mr. Kegley was a native of LeSueur county, Minnesota, where he was born, April 28, 1881, a son of William and Louisa Schrivener Kegley. As a young man he farmed in Madison county and Green county, in Iowa. For 28 years he was employed as a carpenter by the Milwaukee railroad, retiring in 1947. He had been living in Winterset since 1957.

Mr. Kegley never married. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nellie Holsman of Winterset; and two brothers, Loyd Kegley of Minneapolis and Roy Kegley of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
