MRS. HOWARD DOUD DIES IN DES MOINES

Former Winterset Resident Died Monday at Age of 72 Years

Mrs. Howard Doud of West Des Moines died Monday, July 13, at a Des Moines Hospital. She was 72 years of age.

Mrs. Doud was born near Winterset on Dec. 22, 1886, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson. She spent her early life in this community, and was a graduate of Winterset high school.

As a young woman she was married here to Howard Doud of Winterset. They made their home here a number of years, but moved to Des Moines more than 30 years ago.

She is survived by her husband, a son, John Doud of West Des Moines; and four sisters, Mrs. Sara Deakin of Des Moines, Mrs. Stella Link of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Georgia Bond of Great Falls, Mont., and Mrs. Buena Anderson of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Anderson's home for funerals in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. O. E. Cooley, pastor of the West Des Moines Methodist church. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
