WILLIAM B. WRIGHT OF AMES DIED FEB. 10

William B. Wright, father of W. H. Wright of Winterset, died at his home in Ames, Feb. 10, at the age of 94 years.

Mr. Wright was a native of Crawford county, Arkansas, where he was born April 23, 1864, a son of John and Elizabeth Dyer Wright. He was married in 1882 to Sarah Brown whose death occurred in 1943. They were parents of six children, three of whom preceded the father in death.

He lived in Arkansas and in Indian territory, now Oklahoma before coming to Iowa in 1902. He moved to Ames from Appanoose county in 1929.

He was a member of the First Christian church of Ames, the Modern Woodmen of America, and had been a member of the Masonic lodge of Mountainburg, Ark, the past 75 years. In 1953 he was present at Clear Creek lodge So. 332 in Mountainview, and was honored as the oldest living member.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Rhodes of Ames, with whom he made his home; two sons, John S. of Newton and Wm. Harvey of Winterset; a half brother, A. J. Wright of Denison, Tex.; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Thursday at Ames, with burial in the Ames cemetery.
