HIRAM TUEL DIES IN DES MOINES

Hiram P. Tuel, formerly of Winterset, died this Tuesday Jan. 6, at a nursing home in Des Moines. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Tuel was a native of Cherokee, where he was born June 18, 1886, a son of Hiram and Martha Tuel. He lived here about five years. However, most of his life was spent in California where he was employed at Hayward for many years as a mill foreman.

Surviving are two daughters, Marjorie McKeen and Eleanor Moneymaker; a son, David Tuel; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Phillip Powers of Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this Friday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
