SERVICES TODAY FOR MRS. BRUETT

Winterset Resident Died Here Monday at Age of 86 Years

Mrs. Lutie Belle Bruett, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Monday, Jan. 5, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jerome Wright of Winterset. She was 86 years of age.

Mrs. Bruett was born Sept. 25, 1872, a daughter of Crosby and Amanda Clark McDonald. With the exception of a few years in Boise, Ida., and Long Beach, Calif., her life was spent in Madison county.

She was married Jan. 1, 1895, to William A. Bruett. His death occurred in 1946.

She was active in her community, church work and the Rebekah lodge in past years.

Surviving are her 10 children: Robert Bruett of Boise, Ida., C. O. J. Bruett of San Francisco, Calif., John and Clark Bruett of Des Moines, Mrs. Lois Trout of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Sylvia Allen of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Margaret Alexander of Kansas City, Mo., and Fred Bruett, Mrs. Bernice Schwab and Mrs. Georgia Wright, all of Winterset. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Winterset Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Robert A. Owens. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
