GLENN F. SMITH DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Glenn F. Smith, a native of Madison county, died Thursday June 11, at Long Beach, Calif., following a stroke. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Smith was born here July 27, 1897, a son of T. E. and Clara Smith. He was married here on July 17, 1920, to Kathryn Keefe of this county. They moved to California in 1936, where he was employed at the Veterans' hospital in Los Angeles for many years. They had lived in Long Beach more than a year.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Loraine Cave; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. T. E. Smith of Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. T. E. Coffman of Winterset and Mrs. Ray Denney of Stuart.

Funeral services were held Saturday and burial made in Inglewood Park cemetery.
