Word has been received here of the death, on Dec. 23, of Maurice D. Rowe, a native of Macksburg.
Mr. Rowe's death occurred at Washington, D. C.
He was born Nov. 8, 1898, in Macksburg, a son of William and Maria Rowe. He enlisted in the U.S. navy in 1917, and received a medical discharge in 1919. In recent years he had been employed at Andrews Air Force base.
Surviving are his wife, the former Hattie LeMaster of Creston; a daughter, Mrs. R. A. Sinclair of Scott Air Force base; a son, Walter W. Rowe of Burlington, N. C.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Rowe was buried with military honors from Ft. Myer chapel in Arlington, Va.
