MRS. OLLIE PALMER DIES AT OAKDALE

Mrs. Ollie Palmer of near Earlham died Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Oakdale hospital near Iowa City. She was 80 years of age and had been at Oakdale for more than 4 years.

Mrs. Palmer was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Ollie Shaver, daughter of George and Sarah Shaver, and was born Dec. 18, 1878. She was married in 1909 to Archie Palmer. His death occurred in 1913.

She leaves a son, William Palmer of Earlham; a daughter, Geneva Palmer of St. Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Taylor and Mrs. Luela Richardson; and a brother, Oscar Shaver, all of near Winterset.

Funeral services were held from the Fisher Funeral home in Van Meter, with burial in Fairview cemetery.
